What E-Learning means to me

E-Learning is not an entirely new concept as it has been around for years. Still, due to the pandemic going on for almost 2 years now, it has become the most prominent way of learning. At the beginning of the pandemic, I found it a bit difficult to balance my work-life balance, and it was something I needed to get used to. In addition, many of us may relate to being educated in a classroom setting for either all or most of our lives, so being suddenly put into a situation where everything is virtual is very different and strange. Nonetheless, over the two years, I have found the benefits of having E-learning, such as the convenience of going back to past lectures to re-watch the lesson to better understand the topic. E-Learning also made it possible for students to save on time and money because they no longer had to transport to school. However, even though there are many benefits to E-Learning, there are still downsides to it. One being not everyone has access to computers or the internet to access online learning. Another is the accessibility of online education for those with disabilities. A final example of a downside to E-Learning is that online learning may not incorporate all the different learning styles each student needs to succeed. In summary, even though it was a rough start getting adjusted to online learning, I saw the benefits it brought for me as a student. Still, I also saw its flaws for other students who may not have the same privileges in adjusting to the new way of learning due to their circumstances.
