How AI has Impacted Learning and Development

AI has been around for many years now and making significant changes in workplaces due to its efficiency. Many companies have seen the benefits of incorporating AI into their companies, primarily in the learning and development process. AI can be developed to fit a person's preference, trait and skills, which means they can be personalized for the training needed to be delivered. This means more employees are likely to engage more with the training and increase the company's completion rates. Moreover, AI can make programs more accessible to people with disabilities, making training more accessible to all employees in the workplace. Also, since AI can be made easily accessible, employees can access training at any time and any location, which is excellent for employees who may work from home. For example, in the company I worked with for an Internment, they incorporated AI-based training into their L&D. It was tailored to what I needed to learn and easily accessible at any time of the day. Also, because they were using AI, they could track my progress in my training and how well I was doing and how long it took to complete my training. Overall, AI is a great benefit to the L&D department as it makes it easy to tailor the training based on their needs. AI also makes training easy to access for most employees at any time, anywhere able to track employees' progress and check if the training could use tweaking based on employees' performances.
